Hi
I have an upcoming event where i need to pass control to a VJ who wants to use midi to control the catalyst. This seems possible but I can find no documentation.....
Also am curious about the 6s ch mix type fixture? Is there a ch list?

what are you wanting to control with MIDI? triggering of presets? Cues? or controlling layers?
If you want DMX channel assignments, check out the DOCS page of the inbuilt Catalyst web server. Click on Inbuilt Web Server in the Help menu of the Catalyst app.

Without knowing your VJs goals, I would think it would be simpler to use Catalyst as an intermediary and feed the VJs outputs into the Catalyst video capture through LFG4 or Phoenix cards.
Granted you can use MIDi to trigger presets but you would still need to create the presets which might take more time than you or the VJ have available.
Do you have more details about the expectations of the VJ?
