No idea yet, as it hasn't been released as far as I am aware.
I'll get one when it has and do some testing.

no mac compatible x800 boards exist as of yet.
will require pci-express to be implemented in any new g5 hardware.
i have a pc version
Actually Richard, if you follow the link provided in my original post, you will see that ATI debuted this new card specifically for the G5 system at Macworld.Quote:

this should work with catalyst.
wont increase playback performance at the moment as the bottleneck in not in the graphics card.

X800's are starting to trickle out to mac users, but there is a lot of driver confusion.
The current ATI web download, doesnt support the x800, there are apparently new drivers on the cd's that ship with the software.
and these people have reported some screen corruption after wake from sleep.

Reagan has received an x800.
Mine is on its way direct from ATI.
Reagan has reported that on first look it seems to work, you need to install the latest driver from the disc which comes with the card.
This seems to be ATI displays 4.4.4
ATI displays 4.4.4 does not appear to be available for download just yet
X800 report with 10.3.8
