Please start testing Leopard 10.5.2
and report problems back here.
Performance is a lot better than 10.5.1
Suggest that catalyst users create a new partition with 10.5.2 - and dont install over 10.4.11

I´m running 10.5.2 and i have a random problem that happens once or twice a week with the machine stalling... Keyboard and mouse are freezing..Movie is freecing but the frame counter in the hud is still counting. I can still controll intensity via artnet...

Ran prelim tests on an 8-Core with 10.5.2, 8800GT Video Card and a Mtron SSD.... Runs really really smooth, still waiting on Rodin input dongle. I was running 14 layers of SD content, no problems. I think i might be able to use two TH2G with this system. I will post more on Monday when I am in the shop
Start test on MAC PRO 8 Cpu's 3.0 Ghtz. with 10.5.2
I have not 8800GT at moment (i'm waiting it),test with 2600HD.
No problem with Preliminary test on Catalyst m165 version using TH2go
analogic,no errors or bug matched during test.
I have just noted this problem with Leopard after upgrade from
10.5.1 to 10.5.2:
After shutdown my MAC PRO,the internal fan go up speed, and is possible to stop it to disconnect power supply only.
when you reconnect power supply the fan is quiete.
something to suggest???
thanks

I'm able to run (2) TH2G Analog at a total of 6,144 x 768 desktop. I would try higher resolutions, but I don't have enough monitors that can support it! I have to re-encode some 1080p video to apple intermediate. Right now it runs one layer of 1080p photo-jpeg fine, but as soon as you load another, the performance drops (I know!! Needs to be apple intermediate, but I just loaded a digital juice file straight from the DVD I was so eager to test).
Here's some new results. I ran a test today on the same machine. One boot is Tiger the other is Leo.
3GHz 8-core, Mtron, x1900
In tiger I was running 14 layers DV. The frame rate counter on layers 11, 12, 13, and 14 were faltering showing as low as 15.
In Leo 10.5.1 I was running 8 layers and 6,7,8 were all dropping to 15.
In Leo 10.5.2 I was running 10 layers and 9,10 were dropping to 15.
I added the "Graphics Update" to 10.5.2 and I jumped up to 12 layers where 10,11,12 were dropping to 15.
On all layers I was running Visual FX and Color FX.
Turning off the FX, the performance jumped to:
Tiger was 14 layers
Leo 10.5.1 was 9 layers
Leo 10.5.2 was 11 layers
"Graphics Update" was 13 layers.
All in all, Leo is still not as strong as Tiger but I also didn't have time to shut off all the extra crap in this instance of Leo yet. I'll report after I do.
