How control the sound of a MAC the connected to the minijack input?
Cat see sound inputs, but i can't find tools to control.
system preferences....line out
What tool in Catalyst to control the sound input channel?
Applications/utilities/audio midi setup
but you should be able to look at the sound inputs in the system preferences in the sound inputs tab
You can then enable audio input into catalyst in the inputs widow in the HUD.
Catalyst picks up the audio channels that are made available to it by OSX. the controls for the sound inputs are done by the OS, there are no controls in catalyst just meters in the inputs window.
hope that helps
Literally Catalyst uses the audio interfaces it sees with Core Audio, which differs with different interfaces.
Hugh
Only sees, of course.
Thanks!
I think what you need to know is that Audio Playback uses playback mode 70 to 75
and using DMX to control the volume --- ah well I havn't to to that chapter yet....
yes, sorry, i had read that on my phone...input not output
the os chooses the input, select that input in the system preferences, then start catalyst and it should use those...correct?
I know about play mode and how to control sound of layer by dmx.
I'm building rack whith catalyst and see to http://www.pro-systems-group.com/ru/...av-patch-panel
Want to make a similar.
And the question arose - why there is a sound input?
Not for manage, but for FX? What are other applications of the input sound?
SMPTE-Timecode uses also the Sound Input
There are also some FX which uses the Sound Input (like waveform or soundmeters in visual-fx)
