I´ve also had trouble with a MacBook Pro 2.33 and TH2G Digital on DVI in 10.6. Output #3 messes up half the picture with a noisy pattern.

Regarding TH2G on Snow Leopard
I have been playing around with a new developer release of Snow Leopard. In some of the notes I notice that Apple has made changes to the areas which would deal with the utilization of a TH2G.
Basically, there are new changed which should come with an upcoming update to Snow Leopard. It should correct the issues some of you have been experiencing with DH2G and TH2G devices.
Any one knows if now is working fine with Snow Leopard ?
Should I update my systems ? Or is better to stick with Leopard.
And about the new computers, if I buy a new one ? Catalyst works just fine ?
But I sill have a problem with my TH2G ?
Apprecciate any toughts
stick with leopard
a few reasons - but for Gian just due to the TH2G.
on new machines - 2009 onwards - 10.6.x it works much better - up to 40% more layers
TH2G is not a reason to stick with leopard in general
the 16 core hyperthreaded cores in 2009 macs work much better - there was a major architecture change in 2009 macs - each processor core was split into 2 hyperthreaded cores -

i dont see any software issues on 10.6.xQuote:
The new Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processors support Hyper-Threading, which allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core. So an 8-core Mac Pro presents 16 virtual cores that are recognized by Mac OS X. Performance is enhanced because Hyper-Threading enables the processor to take better advantage of the execution resources available in each core.
