I am considering getting 2 MXOs.
Anybody have any experiences with these?
It would appear to be the most cost effective and variable option at the moment.
Has anybody used 2 of these on 1 catalyst?
Cost of hiring Folsoms is making me cry!
Any info appreciated.

i think you are really pushing it putting 2 on 1 catalyst.
you should try one first.
you have to check the whole field rendering thing.
thats whats important with these things- how they deal with converting to fields.

I am running 2 Folsoms at the moment of 1 catalyst.
With good results.
How is the MXO different.
And I am attempting to use 3 folsoms in 1 weeks time.
1 dvi > Folsom
1 dvi > Matrox 2 head > 2 folsom
I have 4 days to mess with this before the show.
Is there a card out there that would give me 2(independent) sdi out.
Thanks Richard.
maybe im missing the point - but why dont you just convert dvi-vga with an adaptor and use something like an extron vsc700D... it workks for simple PAL or NTSC SD SDI output - 1 per unit. No need for DVI, and are cheaper than folsoms.
Theres no Mac compatible SDI out card on the market (yet...)

Hi Francesco
Thank you for your interest in Matrox products.
It is not possible to run 2 MXOs daisy-chained together. The second box
is not recognized.
Stay tuned on our user forums for more information regarding the use of
2 MXOs on Mac Pros :
