we know that openGl can handle textures not bigger then 2048 x 2048 , and we know we can use higher res by using triplehead2go .

Now the question is witch is the best way to make a super wide screen , let's say 3 x 800x600 ?

3 x 800 x 600 , give a 2400 x 600 work area that's mean we are out of the maxium res hendle by openGl .

so it's not possible to work with a wide movie in 2400 x 600 .

The question is :

Should we use 3 movie 800 x 600 and then sync the layers ?

So
layer 1 800 x 600
layer 2 800 x 600
layer 3 800 x 600

Question :

what's max res for a sub mix ? 2048 x 2048 ?

its not a fixed limit. it changes for different cards.
but most of them dont support greater than 2048.

when doing this - you have to always experiment - and work with the performance of your computer.
If it doesnt work - it simply doesnt work....you are overloading your computer.
