I have geforce cards(standard one) in my mac pro.
I have noticed a definite lag in the single link output,
Compared to the dual link , When running the same media.
One output is a few frames behind.
This is especially noticable when doing quick bursts.
It is almost impossible to sync the 2 outputs.

I have decided to order the ATI Radeon that will give me 2 x Dual Link outputs.

thats not likely to be anything to do with the graphics cards.

what kindof files are you using in your content?
what lighting console?
what disc drives?

My Intel mac pro 2.66Ghz with 7300 -works at least as well as my Quad G5 2.5Ghz- with playback and overall performance-

so what you are describing is not a video card thing.

Francesco has replied in another thread - he has found out what was going on - he had sorenson content at 60fps. and all sorts of other wierd things....
