Cool Application to Create Mosaics Picture ( HD )

Hello , I've found this cool app that allow to create highres pict mosaics .

My idea it's to render HD mosaics where the single pixel/image it's good enougth to be displayed as singular image , then it's all Z work .

catalyst wont display images larger than 2048x1536.....

Emiliano this is 100 million pixel image resolution. :eek:
Is not possible to show all pixel togheter,and if is possible
will be very strong stress for video card and monitor (what you want to use????).
Do you want project very big led displays????please tell me :D

The Idea it's to Show every single picture . The Mosaics it's made by other picture so it would be pointless using a mosaic if you don't show the single tile ( the lillte pictures ) .

Imagine to Zoom to see a sigle image then use X Y and move inside the mosaic . In cinema this techinique it's called TRUKE ( or it's sound like that ) . By unsing a sigle picture you will be able to tell an entire story ...

BTW if Cat it's limeted to 2048 you can use a simple trick by cut a 4096 or higher res image and then use the sigle images in different layers .

About the stress you are talking about that it's not a problem at all , just need to make sure about what are you doing .

It's not a mater of LED Walls display. this kind of pictures need a good res the LED will be the worst .

it's just an other way to use the cat resources .

If you look at the movie made by Ayato Fujii you will may have an idea of the chance you can get from this kind of app .

I'm sure you are sure about what you say , but how did I use bigger res then ? :confused: I'm sure I did use 4 Dl1 on orizonatal tile 4x1 and 2 Cat V3 where I've made some 4096 composition on Adobe after FX , then I stick the whole 4096 in the sigle servers and it did work .

Where this limit come from ? QT have no size limits .

Do you may say that cat wount use display output bigger the 2048 x 2048 ?

It's the largest texture that Open GL can handle.
