Hello , I've start playing with Quartz Composer and i found it really powerful tool and very intuitive also . One of the amazing feature it's about controller for the parameters inside the patches , I read that it's possible to hook a midi controller channel to one of the patches varialbes of the Quartz Composer Patch .

Question is it's possible to create a 6 / 12 ( or more ) Cocoa DMX reader that read the Dmx input and translate this values into numbers to control the parameters inside the Quartz Composer patches ?

Thanks

I have done this with a Lanbox (www.lanbox.com) and a Max/Msp patch that takes DMX data (or is it UDP) and makes MIDI out of them. THen I take these MIDI signals into QC, works well... :)

Quite the opposite, actually. I am/was making a "Catalyst ultra light", by controlling Quarz Composer from a lighting desk... :)
