Hello,
Just wondered, with the release yesterday of the new intel Macs, do you have any plans to go forward with a version of SAMSC for these machines?

Thanks,
El

Hi Richard,

Thank you for the prompt reply. However, I may not have phrased my
questiion properly.

Maybe the question should be will the current version of SAMSC run on the newly released Intel based macs?

My reason for asking is thus: I have severral clients that have been using SAMSC (OS9 version) on older Macs that are starting to wear out (hardware wise). They (the clients) have all agreed that it is time to move forward and purchase new hardware and pay for a full SAMSC OSX liscence.

Shoud I tell them to buy PPC based Macs now while they are still available and put SAMSC OSX on them, or should they buy new Intel Macs and wait/hope that SAMSC OSX will run on the new hardware?

Just not sure what to advise them on, so any input would be helpfull.

Best,
El

you would be better to buy an powerpc mac.

it takes months for bugs to be ironed out of hardware and software.
