View Full Version : audio problems
I cannot make in and out frames work in the playaudio once playmode. Guess this is not used much, but unfortunately a lot on my show.
Also, when I fade take the intesity to zero the clips in audio play mode (all) stagger for half a second at approximately 50%. Is there any explanation for that?
Thanks,
Sven

what type of audio are you using?
aiff?
how many channels?
uncompressed?
which version of quicktime?
----
audio play uses quicktime to play the movie.
the same method as play in quicktime player.
it has to. audio takes priority.
I thought in and out frames worked. its possible they got broken.
Hi Richard
See answers below
what type of audio are you using?
DV Pal 48Khz, exported straight from Final Cut, which would make it Big Endian.
Should I try exporting them using a different audio codec?
aiff?
how many channels? Well 2, then
uncompressed?
which version of quicktime?
6.5.1 running on OS 10.3.3
guess, not many people use the audio features....

dv pal should be ok.
whats not good is mp3 type audio tracks.

can you try explaining this again.
i dont quite understand.
not many people use audio...
richard.
What seems to happen is this:
The clip plays fine in playaudio mode - when we start taking the the intensity down over 1sec at the end of the clip, the playback staggers at the beginning of the fade.
This happens whether other clips are starting to play on other layers at this point or not.
When we run the same cue in a non-audio playmode everything runs smoothly...
