Hi Richard,

I am so glad to have found this forum, and to see that SAMSC is continuing on.

I've downloaded d27, and have been working with it and have run into one
small problem.

If I try to load a QT clip using the Clip button in the Device window, the program will crash. As long as I load a clip first in the Cue List, everything is fine. Is this a known thing, or something odd with my setup (os 10.3.7, motu 828mkII for audio playback).

Thanks again, and I am really excited that I can now use SAMSC in OSX!

Best,
El

you are probably using the qtclip button in a way i didnt test for.
can you tell me what you did, and when exactly it crashed?

Sure. If I have a QT Player that has not previously had anything loaded in
it (i.e. a new player, or a new show with no cue list), if I click on the Clip button in that player, it immediately crashes the program, without opening
the clip dialogue box.

Once I assign a clip using the LOAD function in a Cue List, the clip button in the device window works fine. Not a big deal, just not what I am used to from the old OS9 version.

On a totaly different subject, what is the liscensing arrangement for the new version? I would love to move to newer machines in all the installs that I have running now. The OS9 version still works great, but the hardware is beginning to show it's age!

Thanks again; I was just starting to resign myself to the fact that for new installs I would have to move to SFX on Windoze. Yuck!
