If you look at the pixelmad dmx spec pdf document:

you will see its pretty similiar to catalyst. operation is identical

a couple of people posted their own catalyst specs for hog 2 here.

both have to be checked for accuracy.. i havent checked them.

We have a HOG profile for the Catalyst. Can we just use the Catalyst profile to control PixelMad?

NAKED TIME!!!

you should make sure that you have the latest catalyst profile.
And it needs to be for version 3.3 catalyst - not earlier versions.
and not version 1.
there are quite a few different profiles out there - with wrong parameter values, and incorrect functions created - even by highend....

there are a few more visual and colour fx in pixelmad.
but on a basic functional level they are the same.

Where can i find the Hog3 Catalyst 3.3 personality?

you cant write personalities for the hog3 -they have to be done by someone at highend - i had dinner with him yesterday.

unfortunately they made the personalities in hog3 too complex for mere mortals.

not great really.

the hog2 library file system worked for about 95% of users. and it was very simple.
