Im curious.

Why would we want to use HiDef movies in catalyst/pixelmad video?
The software are mostly used on plasmas, LED-screens and projectors. All them twist the image so much any way? i am a complete novice when it comes to video, so please be kind to me, but i do not understand why anyone would need it? If you are using the software as on-screens supers, then maybe, but for everything else?

HiDef movies?

Because the current range of projectors have native resolutions that exceed standard definition by a considerable margin.

Plasma screens that have to make standard definition visible - stretch the image and scale the image in wierd ways.

What will be important in the future is playing back content created at larger resolutions at 720p, ( 1280x720 ) and 1080p ( 1920x1080 )
