Blackmagic has introduced it's new Decklink HD Pro card last week at NAB.

The Card is the first card in the history of mankind that supports full uncompressed 12bit HD 4:4:4 with analog monitoring if you need it.

Quite an extraordinary card for only $2495 USD.

Here is the link to the specs on the card.

this card does nothing in catalyst.
no extra functionality is enabled by this card.

In catalyst v3.2 and below - its use is limited to standard definition video input.

Richard,

Will this card work as an SD video input card in Catalyst? Will you be supporting an HD in in a later release? I'm only curious because I would buy this card to do other things outside of Catalyst but am wondering if the card's features would be supported in any way in the future?

Also, will the standard decklink cards downconvert HD real time as they do for capture in FCP - in Catalyst?

I have a show coming up than wants to send me SDIHD feeds, will the decklink series of cards downconvert HD to SD in Catalyst as video input, reliably?

I guess this is something I need to test.
