Codec Problems

Hi All,

I am trying to run Catalyst on my own laptop for some pre-programming.
It's a 2016 MacBook Pro running 10.13.6.
I'm having trouble running .m2v files.
I have not come across this problem before as I normally run dedicated Catalyst servers from vendors.
This has obviously got something to do with installed codecs on my system.
My Library/Quicktime folder is empty but I have no trouble playing any files from Quicktime or VLC.
Conversion within Catalyst does not create any files either.

Somebody please put me out of my misery........

You need to use ProRes codec for Catalyst V5
It may not be installed as default with new systems- not checked 10.13.6 on a new MBP

Just because a movie plays in QuickTime doesn't mean it will play in Catalyst
