New laptops from Apple.

The 15" and the 17" models are compatible with Catalyst and pixelmad.
You should be able to drive an external monitor from one of these things - though this is not tested.

The new iBooks with the 9200 graphics may also work with pixelmad. Not tested. And not likely to be tested by me.

You will not be able to drive 2 monitors from the iBook, they dont have enough graphics memory.

Your playback performance will depend on the drive system you use.
Internal drives arent great at doing video.

----

No testing has been done to determine the suitability of using these systems.

Laptops have dvi/vga and s-video outputs, you connect up a video device using either.
