View Full Version : Phoenix doesn't detect with GTX660

Hi to all,
We bought a GTX 660 and installed in 4,1 and 5,1. Both Macpro with 10.8.5.
With this card it seems the pcie ports don't work. In System information appears an error in pci cards and in Catalyst Video Input can't have image from Phoenix. "No Phoenix Card".
If I change the graphic card, in both Macpro, in system information I have all cards installed in pci and in Catalyst video input " have Phoenix card".
Anyone has found this problem?
Thanks

David.

Thats because the graphics card is not a Mac graphics card with EFI firmware - therefore system profiler does not read it properly and causes issues reading other PCIe cards.

If you use a PC graphics card - you cannot use some other PCIe cards

Solution: use a Mac Graphics card
or
a PC Graphics card properly flashed with EFI firmware (at your own risk…)

Simon

If you turn little switch on the ATI I will get same problem, ATI 7950/7970/8970 have BIOS/EFI firmware.
