Hello, I put information from my live experience with various combination of mac os x and video cards:
Mac OS X 10.6.8: EVGA GTX 285 for mac, Ati 5770 for mac, Ati 5790 for mac,
Mac OS X 10.7.5: QUADRO 4000 for mac, GT120 no special for mac, GTX 680 no special for mac, GTX560Ti no special for mac, GTX650 no special for mac,
Mac OS X 10.8.5: Ati 7950 ()
Mac OS X 10.9.4: in research

As I know video cards for mac os x must have dual bios for working with it. But when I start to combine various card I faced with fenoenom when the graphics card works without dual bios or specifically for Mac OS stitched and works fine.

may be some one has experience too with other cards and mac os x version, and can add information.

gtx 680 requires 10.8.5 or greater- for their driver

I dont suggest anyone uses flashed cards - they only seem to use 'experimental drivers' -

more recent nvidia and AMD cards - might work without any drivers in 10.9+

I think so :) but it working also on 10.7.5. Catalyst recognize it like "nvidia pre release GK104 opengl driver" and mac os recognize normal.

but "pre-release gk104 opengl driver" does not sound like good times to me

i wouldnt want any pre-release nvidia driver anywhere near my stuff
