Network MIDI

Good Morning,

I was wondering if anyone has used MTC over a MIDI network in their installations? I have it running here in testing but would like to hear if anyone has had success/failures in the real world?

Working test setup:
Mac running QLab generating TC and band track > Mac MIDI Network > Mac running Cat.

just need to configure it in OS Audio/MIDI setup (in utilities folder)

I have used it many times and it has worked surprisingly flawlessly. I was expecting many problems but it just works. There is also a windows equivalent called rtpMIDI which is fantastic, it actually uses bonjour to set it up. Then you can route your MIDI from QLab to grandMA onPC if you wanted to without needing 2 USB interfaces… Or use a windows based system to trigger cat I would assume would work also.

Awesome, been testing it with Catalyst for a day now and seems really stable, will take your word for it! Just found rtpMIDI before reading this post and same works with them green servers...
