Hi folks,

I'm remounting a show which on the last tour used Applescripts triggered from a cuelist to shutter a projector. I've got the scripts working fine when run from the Applescript editor on the show machine, but when triggered from the cuelist in Catalyst it doesn't work.

On m365 on a 10.8 machine...

Any suggestions welcome - thank you!

Is the cue list pointed at the correct script at the right location?
in your cue list in the column that says command, you can click there and pick which script to run. If the location has changed you need to associate it to the right location.

I think it is - I've retargeted it in the cue list to the working version of the script...

Another detail: the scripts are in the Media folder, don't know if that's an issue.

Cheers.

Are the IP addresses in the script the same as the projector you're trying to control?

You don't need an Applescript for Panasonic projectors. (don't know what you're using) You can put the shutter open and shutter close URLs into a slot in a custom serial device.

Shutter Close
http://user1:panasonic@yourprojector_ip_address/cgi-bin/proj_ctl.cgi?key=shutter_on&lang=e&osd=on

Shutter Open
http://user1:panasonic@yourprojector_ip_address/cgi-bin/proj_ctl.cgi?key=shutter_off&lang=e&osd=on

user1:panasonic refers to the user name and password, adjust to suit your projector.

set the output of the custom serial device to "no output"

hope that helps

Hi Paul,

that's done the trick - thank you! Wouldn't have guessed to use Serial over Cat 5 without adaptors etc...

Still puzzled as to why the Applescript didn't work as it works when run from Applescript editor on the show machine, but now I have another way. Much much appreciated.

Best
