Not really the correct section, but there didn't seem to be any better place.
Is there anyone in New Zealand that hires Catalyst systems?

Thanks

What company are you with Steve?
what is your system spec?

Who's renting it out of interest?

A&C Lighting, im not sure on the specs of the computer without going in and having a look. it is only about 4 years old.
We also have an old version 3 high end systems catalyst which we will upgrade sometime in the near future.
Currently the server is being used by a tv studio

Grant Robertson

or

Matt Downs
at
SWS in Australia (Victoria)

Hey simon,

We brought our catalyst off the light site when Dave spark left last year as they had no one who knew how to use it. So they no longer have a catalyst server. We will be looking to upgrade our version 3 server in the next year so that we have a backup for our version 4 server

Cheers

You really should upgrade to version 4, the differences between the two versions are huge.

I'm availible for training if needed. PM me if you're interested. I'm based in Wellington currently.

Yes one server is version 4 already that machine is a Mac Pro 5.1 2.4ghz dual quad core with 6 gig of ram I have a dual link SDI card installed and have a triple head to gain 4 outputs

I need to find some work for the other server to force us to upgrade the second server

Do you have a server In welly?

Will let you know if I need any help with anything

Cheers

Hi Steve,
I'm costing a system at the moment, but will hold off purchasing until the new mac pro has come out and all the issues with getting SDI into it have been resolved.

Currently I'm thinking a sonnet 2U PCI thunderbolt bridge with Active Silicon cards mounted.

I'll let you know when we are up and running Catalyst wise as it will be availible for hire.
