Video inputsFX in Catalyst 4.4m364

Hi all!
I need some help.
Helping file "Whatsnew v4_1 210507rev24.pdf" in Catalyst 4.4m364
Help menu contains the following information:
"Video input FX ? freeze frame, stagger, over-expose.
Video input FX need to be turned on from video input preferences.
....
You control these fx using the playspeed channel on a layer using video input."

But the option "Video Input FX" is inactive (grayed out) in preferences\"video input tab".

Is there any way to use
"Video input FX ? freeze frame, stagger, over-expose"-functions in Catalyst 4.4m364 ?
And, in particular, may I use "the playspeed channel on a layer using video input" to freeze frame, captured from video input ?

I'm having the same problem under Mac OS 10.6.8 and Catalyst 4.40_m329
I wonder if it's my graphics card - that's a NVIDEA GeForce 8800 GT

Any ideas anyone?

Have a look in the Video input HUD (available after going fullscreen), there are some buttons like CROP and also input efx, here you can activate it.
The greyed out button in the preferences is greyed out since a while, it is there from an older version of Catalyst. Maybe Richard will remove it sooner or later.
