This came up in discussions with the manufacturer of another server, about the triple head to go.
They are looking at this product

Essentially the same as a digital TH2G but with displayport connectors, says it requires no drivers (the issue with the other manufacturer was a drive issue) and they are putting this in testing.

Any reason why if converted to DVI this wouldn't work with Catalyst?

You would need to test it - but it looks interesting...

there is a DP - DVI version too:

yeah, that's the one I meant to post.

I figured i'd need to just but one and test it, was wondering if someone else had already been a guinea pig though :D

There is a displayport version of the TH2G...
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/?productTabs=1
It can squirt out VGA, DVI and DP.

Other server manufacturers have had issues with Matrox TH2Gs - not something I've had a problem with with Catalyst.

The TH2G just work. I don't particularly care that I have had to install a driver. I'm wondering how many output options you are going to get if the HydraDisplay has no driver...

The HydraDisplay only does up to 3840 x 1024 (3x 1280x1024) in either DP or DVI version. The Matrox TripleHead2Go DP edition may be more expensive, but then it's better...

All valid points, and I do already have a digital TH2G.
My issue is I don't always get a Catalyst, I bounce between Catalyst's, Hippo's, Axon's, Pandora's, M box's and Maxedia's. Sometimes I have a say sometimes I don't.

Just wondering if i bought one how much cross-platform use I can get out of it.
