Has anyone had any experience of using Catalyst with the ATI Radeon HD 5770?

I'm putting together a show, and the venue have offered me the use of a machine with this card. I'll probably want to use a Triple Head on the DVI, splitting a single clip over 3 x 1280x1024 and the MiniDisplayPort as a control monitor.

I think it should be fine, just wondered if there were any issues before I confirm with them!

Ian :)

Woo, update after a bit of searching.

It seems that back in November there were some issues with using 5770 card on 10.6.4. Do we know if these have been fixed by 10.6.7?

As far as I can tell from the older posts, there is no advantage to running in 64bit, and I can reset the machine to 32-bit. Is there still an issue with the card in 32-bit?

no...

If using 10.6.6 / 10.6.7 use an nvidia card.

Best officially available card is Nvidia Quadro 4000 (correct as of April 2011)

Still need to run the system in 32bit mode...

information is still current.

Also watch out for DVI and HDCP issues... although not a problem with TH2G

Don´t use the ATI5770 Card...
Test results are so bad... Only 2 layers of Full HD playback, with the Quadro 4000 you get 8 layers!!!

If you can find GTX285 would also be fine. I tried flashed PC versions without any problems so far
