Hi,

I need to remotely trigger the cuelist.
First option is to use ADDER USB/VGA CAT5 extender, having a LCD and remote usb keyboard for spacebar cueing.
Second would be a remote sync catalyst server on a macbookpro and triggering from the spacebar aswell. With the advantage of having a new licence.
Any thoughts on this are welcome.

Thanks,

Peter

Built in web server allows you to trigger through the web page.. Much easier to go long distances..

Yes, works great but will this be a safe enough during show conditions? It's a touring production, not all houses have internet.

Adder X200 VGA/USB runs 300m on good cat5
Gigabit network runs 100m

KVM goes further...

Both equally have their drawbacks

Run 2 ethernet lines and use both solutions:
1) KVM
2a) Webserver trigger (no licence required)
2b) remote sync catalyst (no licence required if you load the cuelist created on the licenced version)

Yea, don't use internet.. Or rely on houses network.. Make your own. Running a couple cat5's will be just fine. And if its only your computer and the mac pro, you have a very slim to none chance of failure unless someone broke both of your cables..
