Cat4 and Mac

Hey.
I have at Cat3.3 and an old MacPro. I am going to get a new MacPro and upgrade to Cat4.
Can you help me with config af the mac?? What to buy and what not.
And what´s the price of the upgrade?? from Cat3pro to Cat4pro.

Hi Steffen - please contact me off board and I can help with upgrade pricing.

At the moment there are some issues with the new Mac Pro computers and OS graphics drivers. The 2 x 2.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8 cores) with ATI Radeon HD 5870 seems to be a good starting point.

Try an Nvidia GT120 Graphics card until apple have sorted out the drivers

Also suggest a USB card (sonnet Allegro) with an internal port for dongle security and an SSD for content

Upgrade cost is £1000.00 (list) from V3 to V4 (Pro-Pro, DV-DV etc...)

evga confirmed EOL from 3 weeks ago- and hinted at replacement - but nothing announced -

there are 2 manufacturers of nvidia cards for mac
