The new Macs come with a 3 Displays

2 mini display and 1 DVI

Now all is in one board, Richard, Catalyst will support 3 screens for that version of hardware ?

Any one has used the 3 outputs, really work ? work well ?

And is better to buy a TH2G mini display port --- New ones
or convert the outputs to DVI and use a regular Digital Edition of TH2G

OR even go out on the DVI for the TH2G and 1 with mini display converted to DVI

OR does'nt matter

Thankd for the INPUTS

So what graphics card do you suggest people buy at the moment?
The EVGA GTX285 is like hens teeth to get hold of...

The old 2009 Nvidia GT120 is the best option at the moment...

I did some testing with promising results with 2x 1920x1080 outputs and it ran FAR better than the ATI 5770 or 5870 being that the ATI drivers are broken.

(Mac Pro 5.1: 2.4GHz 8-Core Westmere, 6GB, ATI Radeon HD 5770 also tested with ATI Radeon HD 5870)

I had the Nvidia GT120 installed in the slot above the ATI card when testing to compare the difference when switching from ATI to Nvidia drivers (by unplugging LCD's from ATI and connecting to Nvidia) You should be able to remove the ATI card and just run with the Nvidia. The GT120 didnt used to be that good with multiple ouputs compared to the ATI 4870 in 2009 MacPros - but it 'currently' performs better than any ATI card in a 2010 mac at the moment...

I have one GTX285, but not tested it yet. Will try next week if time (along with multiple TH2GD / DP etc). Not tested Nvidia 8800GT either - but is obsolete now anyway.

HOWEVER - this testing has been carried out with some of my stock HD content, SSD, environment etc... DO TEST YOUR OWN SETUPS as results may vary. Im not going to publish actual results as I don't want to encourage false hope!... The GT120 should be considered as a temporary solution - so don't throw away your ATI cards yet....

The GT120 card is still available from apple at £123.00 - I also have limited 'unused' stock
