this is a mac book air-

( it runs on every other laptop i ever tried )

maybe it has a special configuration or special libraries- or something missing in libraries-

try looking in the console log - to see if there are any more error messages about missing libraries in there-

run the console application
applications->utilities->console

see if there are any more error messages in there?

If you have a snow leopard install disk, use it to perform an upgrade to the computer. From what it looks like, you have a faulty system file. It may however be the hardware as Richard said where the Air just isn't working.

I have however used PCs running as Hackintosh that have been able to run Catalyst just fine so I'm not sure except to try to run an upgrade.

If you don't have snow leopard, you can always do an archive and install with your leopard install disk. Either method will leave your files intact but fix the broken system files.

Hi guys,

thanks for your support and sorry for my late response but was very busy the past week(s).

But the good news is that is working now.
Richard you were right my videocard wasn't configured right.

After reading my post again i saw that i didn't gave you all the info.
I'm running iatkos on my hp laptop and didn't configure it the right way.
So i don't have a real mac (yet).

thanks again for you response,

cheers,

Martin

Just a warning...

I got a bunch of Dell workstations really cheap. I use them for a bunch of Linux and server crap but when all my Catalyst machines are rented out, I use them as Hack-alyst machines in my lab.

I love to tinker, hack, and make impossible things happen but I gotta tell ya... Whatever you do, don't rely on a Hackintosh in a show environment.

thanks for the warning, but when i do a show i only use real macs from the company i work for.

The only thing i use my hackintosh for is as an preview monitor to see what is playing on all my layers.
