Looking for a way to run presets manually, but have layer or mix intensity on a fader. Possible?

dmx or midi fader?

with a console use the technique below to black out on one layer-

the behringer bcf 2000 will control the layer intensity-

at same time as preset

Thanks! But how do I set it up. I managed to trigger a Catalyst preset with a MIDI button, but didn´t understand how to link a fader to a parameter.

By default, the first 8 channels are linked to the 8 faders of the BCF.

I too have a BCF2000 and have been playing with it and Catalyst.

So, we have the faders are intensity values for layers 1-8, the fader buttons are preset triggers 1-16... is there any way to patch parameters to the set of 4 encoders for each fader? Also, for the four buttons on the bottom right?

for more than really basic stuff these devices are pretty hideous.
esp for any usability - bcf 2000 has a completely impenetrable user interface on controller itself

midi parameters ranges dont map at all well to catalyst.

mackie interface is slightly better but still rather pointless beyond simple things.

i kindof get queasy whenever i think about the bcf2000 ....
