Saw this on another Board, a bunch of mac minis in a bus, running catalyst...

You've seen it right,

The bus has a installation of 22 minimac's running catalyst and 1 minimac to control HOG3...
Besides the Catalyst mac's, HOG 3 also controls a lot of LED lighting...

Installation is done by Production Partners, we supplied the Catalyst Dongles and HighEnd stuff..

I believe there is a monthly content update...

Hi

I'm one of the designers of this multimedia experience bus.

All the 22 catalyst sytems run with dual head to go creating 44 outputs. One minimac is running hog 3 pc with vmware and two minimac are running pangolin laser software

we've just build a new bus. This time containing
12 minimac running catalyst lite,
1 x altinex 12 x 48 matrix on rs232 interface from catalyst
48 lcd screens inside the bus
1 x dp8000 and hogpc system with elo touchscreen
22 60ch ledstrips
4 smoke machines
2 full color lasers

Hi ! I do love your installation . I saw some videos of the preview bus and I think it's stunning!

I see that the Dp8000 use the DMX outlets , why you didn't use the artnet output instead? it's cleaner and there is less hardware involved. I assume the the DMX get converted again b4 it goes back in to the minis.

Btw great installation I love it and I wish I could come on board one day.

concerning the dp8k
I use the dmx outputs of the dp8k for the led fixtures, smokemachines, lasers, and switchpacks. The catalyst are running on the artnet port of the dp8k
