anyone use the 3000 series mtron with success??? any details would be usefull... thinking of using the ocz ssd2 in my new machine as it benchmarks between the 3000 and 7500 series mtrons.. its faster in every respect than the 3000 series with the exception of a .04ms slower access time. any thoughts here would be appreciated.

MOBI 3000 is a good alternative to the 7000's - performance is not that dissimilar.

any thoughts on the ocz?

multiple users are testing the ocz drives in different configurations to see what the performance is- every single ssd drive as to be checked - as some of the earlier drives had awful performance - and high latency- like usb sticks - to work well as discs- they have to have low access times-

---

mtron has been used extensively on shows - with almost no problems.

i dont see anything in the mtron specs for their different ranges which would indicate great performance differences.

I just posted this answer to another thread.

Based on the benchmarks for the 3ks, they should still perform better than regular SATA disks but don't expect as many layers as the Mtron SSD 7500s.
