Hi Richard,
Is there a work around way of controlling these cameras in catalyst?

You can program presets and trigger them using 232 or 422, but you can also directly control the pan tilt and zoom this way as well using their controller, just wondered if their was a way of doing this you can think of in the current version of catalyst? although might be a handy addition? esp if you could map DMX channels to it and control from the trackball on your console....

Anyway I'm thinking of using these on a show at the end of the year so investigating what the posibilites are.

i have started exploring these things.
the cameras all have different protocols. so are proprietary - documentation seems a bit scarce.
Spooky used some panasonic cameras on Dirty Dancing last year doing this type of thing. but i think he accessed presets in the control console

Can you get the control protocols for these ones?
Can you get me one?

Hi Guys

Yes I controlled the cameras by triggering presets using serial control. We did have a quick chat about doing what Paul is asking last year. Maybe we should look at it again. I will dig out the protocols.
