I seem to be having performance problems with Apple studio displays.
They have a fixed refresh rate, and they dont display this.
I run catalyst at 75hz at the moment. and the studio displays are documented at running somewhere near 60hz.

this causes less than optimal performance.

I do hope to fix this soon.

Interestingly Cat v.3 doesn't pickup the refresh of the Studio Display.
And I can't find any documentation on screen refresh for Studio Displays.
Perhaps running digital displays is somehow more processor intensive??
We also had problems with Studio Displays and mirroring in the early days of v.1 - did some very weird stuff to the VGA...

Thats because the OS doesnt tell me. I have to parse the ddc data directly to get the refresh rate.

No its not more intensive. the hardware is transparent.
Mirroring is always problematic.
Lots of bugs.
Graphics hardware has changed a lot in the last 2 years.

59.6hz.

Mike found the refresh rate reported at 59.6 hz when using a dvi port.
