Hi,

after some hassle during my tests with different Multiviewers, i´m here again for my next question.

Is it possible to use 2 Intensity Cards in one system to link 2 independent component Signals into one system?

I know this option is supported through the Black Magic Intensity Driver 1.6.

But in our systems the catalyst software will not work with the original driver.

In the moment i´ve installed the newest version of the Decklink Driver to link the Intensitiy input into the software.

Thanks for your response

Holger

multiviewer hassle? really?

did you get something to work - you need to use 720p....

----
No

I know this option is supported through the Black Magic Intensity Driver 1.6.

The Decklink ON-Air software does not use their public quicktime drivers.
And there is no public API that has been released to do this - that i know off

multiple intensity - it does not work unless
the decklink quicktime drivers - support this-

the last time i checked - they did not.
they have never supported more than one card of any type.
you cant even use a decklink extreme with an intensity card - they override each other.

you need to hassle decklink - not me- there is nothing i can do unless decklink supports this.
i have 3 intensity cards.

OK, what i want to do is inserting 2 component signals into one system.

Which means that i have 2 times 726 x 576 Pixel to work with.

The Zandar Multiviewer outputs only 720p and has no component inputs, only y/c. So the signal will not be the best, and with 2 video inputs i have to compress the inputs as well. Zandar is planning to implement 1080i "standards" in the beginning of 2008.

:confused:Can i combine the intensity card with any other Graphic input board available?

For the first step, i need 2 component inputs.
:eek:Show Dates: 15.10.2007:eek: Preproduction starts in 2 weeks

For your info: The Picture quality of the Zandar DVI input board is not as good as expected. So there is also no idea how to insert powerpoint charts into my system.

Thanks for your great support,

Holger

to get powerpoint into the intensity- you need to see if you can get the output of the computer to be something that the intensity can take as input.
other than that there are the usual scan convertor options.

emiliano and myself - played around with a few ideas in recent weeks.

Hi Richard,

but right now its the only way.
which zandar box you use?
there are many options.

I just ordered a Zandar FusionPro+ 1RU chassis with HD/SD-SDI and YC/Composite Input Boards.

That will solve my problem with my camera and dvd input issue.

I believe that, at this time, there will be no solution for my dvi/vga problem available on the market. Because every conversion from DVI/VGA to HD-SDI will drop the image quality. And for my uses i have to show the best picture quality.

But anyway thanks for all the information.

Regards from Germany

I have used the Zandar Predator Multiviewer - both the 4 input and 8 input one. You need to set the Zandar to 1280 x 720 @ 60Hz - then it works - assuming you have set the Video input section with Decklink intensity 720p60 in Catalyst software then it works fine.

Have had two shows working perfectly this summer with this configuration.
