I fear the answer but here it goes...

I need to project on a set that has a 90 right angle that includes a curved wall where the two walls meet. My question is:

If I map my video onto a flat/curved/flat surface using catalyst and project it as such is catalyst somehow taking into account the difference in physical distance beween the surfaces from the projector in terms of focus?

Obviously I can only have the projector in focus on 1 surface, does Catalyst somehow process the difference?

Feel free to point out that I am an idiot because I am missing something :) Thanks. Mark

Are you afraid that focus is an optical and real world thing -

not something that can be done in the image?

with surfaces you dont just have to worry about focus - you have to worry also that reflections off any surface are not necessarily linear. projection angle affects the surface diffuse reflectance.

I am projecting Cat 4 on the curved top of a 4 pole tent this weekend.

What is going to be my best method of attack? Will I be able to pull this off with just keystoning or do I need to use a 3D model to make this work?
