CIB MIDI interface was never completed..... neither was the projector control.

You will need an external usb-midi box.

The M-Audio 1 and 2 port ones work fine and are not expensive. Drivers work with up to 10.4.8

There are other rackmount options on the market - usually with lots more ports - but watch out for driver compatibility

Thanks

I am starting to look some device, either firewire or usb 2, but if possible what has the following specs.

MIDI In OUT of course
Balanced Audio Output
and what works with 10.4.9,.. all our systems are at the latest version.

I saw a couple m-audio firewire 410
Ediroll 66, that does not need a driver, uses Apple one.

So any experiences you guys have just let me know...

Thanks

I looked at the M-Audio firewire 410 when I was using SAMSC on Mac OS9 on a G4... quite a while ago now... (!) I seem to remember there were some MIDI latency issues surrounding firewire - However, I was syncing timecode... so maybe this might not be an issue for you...

I ended up using a MIDIsport 1x1 and a Super DAC2496 for the audio, connected to the optical out on the mac... - Still do when I need to send audio to a sound system with Catalyst
